Goddess Durga is one of the most popular Goddesses in the Hindu religion.She is the divine mother and representative of compassion ,strength,morality and protection.She protects her devotees from evil powers and safe guards them.It is believed that Goddess Durga is said to be the combined form of powers of Goddess Laxmi , Sarswati and kali.So she has the power to bless her devotees with
prosperity,peace,pleasure,wisdom and health etc.
If a person recites the following Prayer Mantras with full faith and devotion,he is sure to get worldly possessions.By the grace of Devi Durga his worldly desires and wishes are fulfilled.The Prayer Mantras should be recited at least twenty one times daily.
The prayer Mantras are as follows :-
1. Yaa Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Maa Roopen Sansthitaa .
Namastasyai,Namastasyai,Namastasyai Namo Namah. 
(या देवी सर्व भूतेषु माँ  रूपेण संस्थिता।)
2.Yaa Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Shakti Roopen Sansthitaa.
Namastasyai,Namastasyai,Namastasyai Namo Namah. 
(या देवी सर्व भूतेषु शक्ति  रूपेण संस्थिता।)
3.Yaa Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Buddhi Roopen Sansthitaa.

3. या देवी सर्व भूतेषु बुद्धि  रूपेण संस्थिता।
4.Yaa Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Laxmi Roopen Sansthitaa.

Combined Meaning of all the above eleven  Mantras in English - 
"Salutations to Devi (goddess) who resides in all the beings in the form of  Mother / Strength / Intelligence / Wealth or Prosperity / Peace / Faith / Radiance / Profession / Memory / Mercy / Gratification. We bow down to her, we bow down to her, we bow down to her."
After the recitation of  Prayer Mantras you should reflect upon the infinitive affection of devi Durga. Have a feeling in your mind that Devi Durga has accepted your prayer.She is pouring her blessing upon you and you are getting the things mentioned in the prayer.

The process Mantra Jap :-
After getting fresh from daily routine ,sit on a piece of woollen cloth facing east or north in a separate room or at any suitable place.Keep a picture of Goddess in front of you.Close your eyes and meditate on Devi Durga feeling that she has the power and energy to protect Her devotees.She is known as the universal mother.She has the power to fulfill the desires of a person who has full faith in her.I bow to that mother, I bow to Durga , I bow to shakti .I pray to great Goddess Durga to bless me with prosperity , pleasure ,peace ,strength, health and wisdom.
After this feeling and prayer Jap (repeat/chant)the following Mantra 540 times or 756 times or 1080 times for three months.For desired results the Mantra should be chanted (in total) 125000 times.
The Mantra is as follows:-
'Aum Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundaayai Vichchai'
 'ॐ ऐं  ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चै।'
When the Jap is over,do not leave the place of puja immidiately.After the Mantra jap,sit very quietly,close your eyes and reflect upon the infinitive love of Devi Durga.Have a feeling in your mind that Devi Durga has accepted your prayer.She is pouring her blessings upon you. Have full faith that your desires will be fulfilled by the grace of Devi Durga.After it fold your hands and pay your respects to Goddess Durga and leave the place of Puja.

8-2-17 Manas Siddha Mantra


 Manas Siddha Mantra for various purposes


Some Chopais, Dohes and Sorthes of Ram Charit Manas ( written by Tulsidas ), work just like Mantras.If they are recited or chanted / Jap with belief and proper method ,they are capable of fulfilling the wishes and to eradicate the troubles / problems of the Sadhak (the person ).
The proper  method of Manas Siddha Mantra 
After ten o'clock in the night , the person should sit on a piece of woollen cloth.He should  keep his mouth towards Varanashi (Kashi ). The person should do Havan with Ashthang Havan Material chanting the chosen Chopai,Doha or Sortha 108 times.This Havan is to be done only once for one day. After it  the Mantra (chosen / selected chopai / Doha /Sortha ) should be recited 108 times every day and be continued till the purpose (for which the Mantra is being recited ) is served .
Material (Samagri )for Havan :-
Sandal powder,sesame (til),ghee ,sugar ,agar ,tagar ,kesar ,kapoor ,rice ,barley ,panch mewa .The weight of all the above mentioned things should be one kilo.
For the havan ,no separate kund is to be made . Only a vedi is to be made of sand,on this vedi light a fire and give 108 Aahutis chanting the chosen Mantra.After every Aahuti say, 'Swaha'.At the time of Jap keep a picture of Ram Darbar in front of you .
The list of the Chopai,Doha or Sortha and their use:-
1 - For removing conflict
  Haran Kathin kali kalush kalesoo,
Mahaa moh nisi dalan dinesoo.
(हरन कठिन कलि कलुष कलेसू ,
महा म़ोह निसि दलन दिनेसू।)
2 - For good livelihood
 Bisva bharan poshan kar joi,
Taakar naam bharat as hoi.
(बिस्व भरन पोषन कर जोई ,
ताकर  नाम भरत अस होई।)
3 - For removing poverty:-
Atithi poojya priyatam puraari ke,
Kaamad dhan daarid davaari ke.
( अतिथि पूज्य प्रियतम पुरारि के ,
कामद धन दारिद दवारि के।)
4 - For getting wealth:-
 Jimi saritaa saagar mahun jaaheen ,
Jdhyapi taahi kaamanaa naaheen.
Timi sukh sampati binahin bolayen ,
Dharam seel pahin jaahin subhaayen.
( जिमि सरिता सागर महुं जाहीं ,
 जद्यपि ताहि कामना नाहीं।
तिमि सुख सम्पति बिनहिं बोलाएँ ,
धरम सील पहिं जाहिं सुभाएँ।)
5- For getting good son :-
 Prem magan kausalyaa nisi din jaat na jaan ,
Sut saneh bas maataa baal charit kar gaan.
 (प्रेम मगन कौसल्या निसि दिन जात न जान,
सुत सनेह बस माता बाल चरित कर गान।)
6- For getting Riddhi Siddhi (prosperity) :-
Saadhak naam japahin lay laayen ,
Hohin siddh animaadik payen.
(साधक नाम जपहिं लय लाएँ ,
होहिं सिद्ध अनिमादिक पाएँ।)
7 - For getting wishes fulfilled:-
Bhav Bheshaj Raghunaath jasu sunahin je nar aru naari.
Tinha kar sakal manorth siddha karahin trisiraari.
(भव भेषज रघुनाथ जसु सुनहिं जे नर अरु नारी।
 तिन्ह कर सकल मनोरथ सिद्ध करहिं त्रिसिरारि)
8 - For winning court cases:-
Pavan Tanay bal Pavan samaanaa,
Budhi bibek  bigyan nidhaanaa.
(पवन तनय बल पवन समाना ,
 बुधि बिबेक बिग्यान निधाना।)
9 - To make friendship with an enemy:-
Garal sudhaa ripu karahin mitaai,
Gopad sindhu anal sitlaai.
(गरल सुधा रिपु करहिं मिताई,
गोपद सिन्धु अनल सितलाई।)
10 - For removing enmity:-
Bayaru na kar kaahoo san  koi,
Raam Prataap bishamataa khoi.
(बयरु  न कर काहू सन कोई  ,
 राम प्रताप बिषमता खोई।)
11- For good marriage :-
Tab janak paai basishtha aayasu byaha saaj sanvaari kai.
Mandavee shrut keerati urmilaa kuanri lai hankari kai.
(तब जनक पाई बसिष्ठ आयसु ब्याह साज सँवारि कै।
मांडवी  श्रुत कीरति उरमिला कुअंरि लई हंकारि कै।।)
12 - For a successful journey:-
Prabisi nagar keeje sab kaajaa,
Hriday  raakhi kosalpur raajaa.
(प्रबिसि नगर कीजे सब काजा।
 हृदय राखि कोसलपुर राजा।।)
13 - For getting good marks in the examination:-
Jehi par kripaa karahin janu jaanee,
Kabi ur ajir nachaavahin  baani.
Moree sudhaarihi so sab bhaantee,
Jaasu kripaa nahin  kripaan aghaatee.
(जेहि पर कृपा करहिं जनु जानी।
 कबि उर अजिर नचावहिं बानी।।
 मोरी सुधारिहि सो सब भाँती।
 जासु कृपा नहिं कृपाँ अघाती)
14 - For getting good education
Gurugriha gaye  padhan raghuraai,
Alap kaal vidhyaa sab aai.
(गुरुगृह गये पढ़न रघुराई,
अलप काल विद्या सब आई।)
15- For affection :-
 Sab nar karahin parspar preetee,
Chalahin swadharm nirat shruti neetee.
(सब नर करहिं परस्पर प्रीती ,
 चलहिं स्वधर्म निरत श्रुति नीती।)
16 - For removing doubt:-
 Ram kathaa sundar kar taaree,
Sansay bihag udaavanihaaree.
 (राम कथा सुन्दर कर तारी,
 संसय बिहग उडावनिहारी।)
17- For getting knowledge:-
 Chhiti jal paavak gagan sameeraa,
 Panch rachit ati adham sareeraa.
(छिति जल पावक गगन समीरा,
पञ्च रचित अति अधम सरीरा।)

 Hanuman Mantra (For Happiness,Prosperity,Wisdom and Strength)

If you want happiness ,prosperity ,wisdom and strength (mental or physical ),the following mantra will prove very helpful .This Mantra is related to Lord Hanuman  who is known as conflict relieving God .This powerful Mantra of Hanuman is sure to relieve one from one's troubles and restore happiness and fill one's life with joy.
The process  of Mantra Jap:-
After getting fresh from your daily routine, sit on a piece of woollen cloth facing  east or north in a separate room or at any suitable place.Keep a picture of God Hanuman in front of you. Close your eyes and meditate on God Hanuman.Then feel that God Hanuman's body is  shining like a million suns.He is wearing Yagyopaveet.He is the devotee of Lord Ram.He helps those who come in His shelter.I pray to God Hanuman to give me happiness, prosperity, wisdom and strength.
After this feeling and prayer, Jap (chant or repeat )
the following Mantra at least 1080 times (ten malas ) daily for at least three months.For better result, this Mantra must be chanted for 1.25 Lakh times.The Mantra is as follows :-
Om Hanumate Namah.
ॐ हनुमते नमः । 
When the daily Jap is over, do not leave the place of Puja immediately. After the Mantra Jap sit very quietly, close your eyes and reflect upon infinitive strength and affection of Lord Hanuman. Have a feeling with full faith that God Hanuman has accepted your prayer. He is pouring his blessings upon you.You will certainly get Happiness,peace of mind,prosperity, wisdom and strength by the grace of God Hanuman.
After this feeling,fold your hands and pay your respects to God Hanuman and leave the place of Puja and commence your routine work.

8-2-15 Tryakshar Mrityunjaya Mantra

 Tryakshar Mrityunjaya Mantra  
This Mantra is known as Tryakshar Mrityunjaya Mantra. It is considered useful for the eradication of diseases and death fear.In short, it can be said that  this Mantra :-
- Cures diseases.
- Bestows optimum health.
- Protects from accidents and missfortune.
-Offers protection from negative forces ,both seen and  unseen.
-Destroys ignorance.
The process of Mantra Jap
After your bath in the morning , sit on a piece of woollen cloth facing east or north in a separate room. Keep a photo of Lord Shiva in front of you.Light a ghee Deepak and an Agarbatti.   Then close your eyes and meditate on Lord Shiva with the feeling that Lord Shiva is the source of universe.He is the Lord of all the creatures. The three eyes of the  Lord represent the sun, the moon and fire .He is the Lord of mercy and kindness.He has the power to restore health and happiness.
I pray to such Lord Shiva to make me (If some other person is doing jap,he / she should say, 'my brother/sister/father/etc'. as the case may be,in place of 'me'  ) free from disease I am suffering from and bless me with good health.
After this feeling ,jap (repeat or chant ) the following mantra at least 1080 times (Ten mala).The mantra is as follows :-
Om Jum Sah
ॐ जूं सः
When the mantra jap is over, do not leave the place immediately. After the mantra jap, sit very quietly,close your eyes and reflect upon the infinitive love of Lord Shiva.Have  a  feeling in your mind that Lord Shiva has accepted your prayer. He is pouring His blessings upon you.By the grace of Lord Shiva you are sure to recover from  the disease you are suffering from.You will soon be healthy, you will have no fear of death ,you will be free from negative forces.
After it, fold your hands and pay your respects to Lord Shiva and leave the place of Puja and commence your routine duties.

8-2-14 Mahamrityunjay Mantra


 Mahaamrityunjay Mantra (For attaining good health and longevity, for eradicating disease )  


The Mahaamrityunjay Mantra is a prayer in the praise of Lord Shiva, requesting Him to free the devotees from disease , bondage, ignorance and attachment and bless them with liberation and enlightenment. This mantra is called Mahamrityunjay Mantra because it is a great death conquering Mantra.It is the most powerful and most effective Mantra for increasing longevity (long life ), for eradicating diseases and death fear. The house where Mahaamrityunjay mantra is recited , the problems like diseases, sudden death and death fear can not touch the members of that house. 
It is believed that to overcome the fear of death , Lord Shiv Himself gave humanity this Mahamrityunjay Mantra. In short it can be said that this Mantra :- 
- Cures diseases, heals and bestows optimum health.
- Protects one from accidents and misfortune.
- Offers protection from negative  forces.
- Frees one from attachment and removes ignorance.
-Helps one to conquer the fear of death.
The process of Mantra jap:-
After your bath in the morning , sit on a piece of woollen cloth facing east or north in a separate room. Keep a photo of Lord Shiva in front of you.Light a ghee deepak and an Agarbatti.   Then close your eyes and meditate on Lord Shiva with the feeling that Lord Shiva is the source of universe.He is the Lord of all the creatures.  उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माS मृतात्।। 
 Meaning :- Om ,we worship Lord Shiva,(  the three eyed God )who is full of fragrance and who nourishes all the beings.May He liberate me from death ,bestow salvation and lead me towards eternity(make me immortal) just as the ripe cucumber is severed (from the creeper) of its bondage.
When the mantra jap is over, do not leave the place immediately. After the mantra jap, sit very quietly,close your eyes and reflect upon the infinitive love of Lord Shiva.Have  a  feeling in your mind that Lord Shiva has accepted your prayer. He is pouring His blessings upon you.By the grace of Lord Shiva you are sure to recover from  the disease you are suffering from.You will soon be healthy, you will have no fear of death ,you will be free from negative forces.
After it, fold your hands and pay your respects to Lord Shiva and leave the place of Puja and commence your routine duties.

The process Mantra Jap :-
After getting fresh from daily routine ,sit on a piece of woollen cloth facing east or north in a separate room or at any suitable place.Keep a picture of Goddess in front of you.Close your eyes and meditate on Devi Durga feeling that she has the power and energy.She is known as the universal mother.She has the power to fulfill the desires of a person who has full faith in her.I bow to that mother, I bow to Durga , I bow to shakti .I pray to great Goddess Durga to give me peace of mind,keep peaceful environment in my family and develop the feeling of affection among the members of my family and motivate them to have positive feelings.
After this feeling and prayer, Jap (repeat /chant) the following Mantra for 540 times (five malas) daily for three months.For desired results,the mantra should be chanted for 125000 times in total.
The mantra is as follows:-
Yaa Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Shaanti Roopen Sansthitaa,
Namastasyai,Namastasyai,Namastasyai Namo Namah.
 या देवी सर्व भूतेषु शांतिरूपेण संस्थिता ,
 नमस्तस्यै, नमस्तस्यै ,नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः।
Meaning :- Salutations to devi (Goddess) who resides in all the beings in the form of peace.We bow to her, We bow to her, We bow to her.
When the Jap is over , do not leave the place immediately.After the mantra jap,sit very quietly,close your eyes and reflect upon the infinitive affection of Devi Durga.Have a feeling in your mind that Devi Durga has accepted your prayer.She is pouring her blessings upon you.Have full faith that by the grace of Durga you will enjoy a peaceful life.There will be no disturbance and dispute in your family.All the members will live unitedly,peacefully and affectionately.
After it fold your hands and pay your respects to Goddess Durga and leave the place of Puja.

7-2-6 Chanakya Niti / Neeti (Teachings of Chanakya)



TEACHING OF CHANAKYA (CHANKYA NITI ) चाणक्य नीति 

Chanakya was the adviser and the Prime minister to the emperor Chandragupt of the Maurya dyansty . He was the teacher at Takshashila university and is widely believed to be the instrumental in the creation of the Maurya Empire. Given below are some of selected verses from Chanakya Niti :-
Chapter -1-Verse-12
 He is a true kinsman or friend who does not forsake you at the time of your illness, when you are in trouble ,in famine ,when enemy attacks you, in a king's court and at the cremation ground.
Chapter-1-Verse-13
He who gives up what is imperishable for that which is perishable , loses that which is imperishable,and doubtlessly loses that which is perishable too .
Chapter-2-Verse-5
Avoid or forsake the friend who talks sweetly in your presence but in your absence he puts obstacles in your way and tries to harm you because he is like a pitcher of poison which has milk on the top .
Chapter-2-Verse-9
Every mountain does not have a jewel (gem ),nor does every elephant have a pearl( ruby) on his head.Sadhus (good persons)are also not found every where and there are no sandal trees in every forest.
Chapter -3 Verse - 1
In this world whose family is blameless ? Who does not suffer from illness? Who has not suffered due to his addictions? The person who is always happy,is rarely found.
Chapter -3-Verse-4
If there are a wicked man or rascal and serpent ,it is better to choose the serpent and not the wicked man because the serpent bites you only once but the wicked man causes you harm at every step.

The whole forest becomes full of fragrance by a single tree of sweet smelling flowers.In the same way the whole family becomes famous by the birth of a worthy or a dutiful son (or in the same way worthy or a dutiful son adds grace to his family.)

Laxmi,the goddess of wealth resides of her own accord at the place where the foolish are not honoured,food grain is well stored up and where no quarrel arises between husband and wife (or where husband and wife do not quarrel with each other.)

In this world wealth,life and young age are unsteady(unstable).In this unsteady world only religious merit is steady or immovable.

Whether the work is important or not important (big or small) once it is begun,it must not be left incompleted. One must learn this merit from the lion.(A lion does not let the prey go away when it is caught by him).
Chapter-6-Verse-18
Although an ass is tired,he continues to carry his burden,he is unmindful of cold and heat,he is contented  under every situation.A person should learn these three things from an ass.
Chapter-7-Verse-2
The person who does not shy or hesitate in monetary dealings,in acquiring knowledge,in eating,in other dealings,becomes happy.
Chapter-7-Verse-4
One should feel satisfied with the following three things-his own wife,food ,and wealth but one must not feel satisfied with study,penance and charity.
Chapter-8-Verse-19
A learned person is admired by people.A learned person is respected everywhere,and gets wealth through learning and it is only the learning which is worshipped everywhere.
Chapter-10-Verse-1
A poor person can not be considered as destitute if he is learned but a person who is devoid of learning (who does not have the wealth of learning )is considered as destitute in every way.
Chapter-10-Verse-2
A person should take the next step carefully,he should drink the water which is filtered through a piece of clean cloth,he must speak only the words which have the sanction of scriptures and he must do the act after considering well.

The power of destiny is infinite,it can make a beggar a king and a king a beggar in no time.A rich man becomes poor and a poor man becomes rich.
Chapter-12-Verse-1
A house holder can be happy whose sons and daughters are talented ,whose wife speaks sweetly,who has the enough wealth to satisfy his proper desires,who has the love for his wife ,whose servants are obedient,in whose house hospitality is shown (guests are honoured),where God is worshipped every day ,where delicious food and cool water is available ,who has the company of good persons.The owner of such a house is happy and blessed.
Chapter-12-Verse-3
In this world the person is happy who is generous towards his relatives ,kind to strangers,indifferent to the wicked,loving to the good,shrewd in his dealings with the base ,frank with the learned,courageous with enemies,humble with the elders and who behaves cleverly with the women folk.This world exists because of such persons.
Chapter-13-Verse-6
The persons who are ready to face and remove the present and the future troubles,and those who are able to think over the remedies for the calamities that may arise (they both),are happy but those who are fatalist are sure to suffer (to be ruined).
Chapter-13-Verse-15
The person whose actions are disorganised is happy neither among the society nor in the forest .Among the society social contacts grieves him and in the forest the loneliness (seclusion) grieves him.

A man attains greatness by his merits,not simply by occupying an exalted seat.A crow can not be called an eagle(garuda)simply because he sits on the top of  a tall palace.

The person who is praised by others as great,is regarded as worthy though he may be really void of all merits.But the man who sings his own praises,lowers himself in the estimation of others even though he may be Indra (the possessors of all excellences.)

Important things about Parashuram Jayanti -
> Parashu Ram Jayanti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Parashu Ram,the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
> It generally falls on Vaisakh Shukla Tritiya.
> It is believed that Parashu Ram was born on this day (Tithi) during Pradosh kaal.So the day when Tritiya Tithi prevails during Pradosh kaal, is taken for Parashu Ram Jayanti celebration.
Parashuram Jayanti Vrat :- 
The person who observes Vrat on this day should get up early in the morning and after taking a bath , he  should take the Sanklp chanting " Mam Brahmatva Praapti Kaamanayaa Parashuraam Poojanamahm Karishye" ( " मम ब्रह्मत्व प्राप्ति कामनया परशुराम पूजनमहं करिष्ये " ) Then he should observe silence till evening. In the evening he should once more have a bath, worship Parashuram ji and chant Ram Mantra the whole night or as many times as he can .

When is Akshay Tritiya 
 Vaisakh Shukla Tritya is known as Aksaya Tritiya.
Akshay Tritiya is popularly known as Aakha Teej.  It  is considered as holy and auspicious day by the Hindus.This day is also known as Swayam Siddha Muhurat for every event.It falls on Vaisakh Shukla Tritiya Tithi. Akshaya means never diminishing.So the things done on this day remain intact for ever.The beginning of an event or purchasing valuables on this day are considered certain to bring good luck and success.
On Akshaya Tritiya Vrat is observed and lord Vishnu and goddess Lakshmi are worshiped to get their blessings. (Akshaya tritiya Vrat and Puja benefits)
Although Akshaya Tritiya is included in the self proven Muhurats so the new work can be started or purchased any new thing  at any time on this day.
Important things about Akshaya Tritiya :-

2. Hayagriva , Parshuram and Narnarayan incarnated on this day.
3. The gates of Badrinath temple are opened on this day.
4.Ved Vyas, the great sage, along with Lord Ganesh started writing the great epic Mahabharat on this day.
5. According to Matsya Puran and Bhavishya Puran the benefits of taking a bath in the Ganga, doing Vishnu Puja and any Havan or giving anything as charity on this day, never diminish and they prove fruitful.
6. Keeping fast and chanting the Vishnu Sahastranam or Mantra related to  Lord Vishnu is considered most fruitful.
7. Wear new clothes,offer water to the Tulsi plant then start any new work on this day. You will get success.
8. The things given as a charity on this day is considered auspicious.
9. If no Muhurat is available for marriage, Akshaya Tritiya is the popular Muhurat for marriage ceremony.
10.If Lakshmi puja is done on this day,it brings prosperity.
10. Keeping fast and feeding a few Brahmins  on Akshaya Tritiya, is considered fruitful.
11. Buying new clothes and purchasing new things , ornaments made of gold or silver and utensils etc., is considered auspicious.
12. New buildings , organizations or institutes are inaugurated on this day .
13. Among the farmer community Akshay Tritiya is very popular , particularly in Rajasthan ,where the farmers start ploughing their land and start symbolic showing in  the early morning on Akshaya Tritiya.

The festival of Deerawali / Diwali :-
Deepawali means the row of lights. So this festival is called the festival of light. It is a five day festival as Dhan Teras, Narak Chaturdashi, Diwali and Lakshmi Poojan, Govardhan Puja and Annakoot, and Bhai Dooj. Each of these five days, there are specific rituals and customs. People follow them with joy, belief and enthusiasm.
Diwali is celebrated on the Amawashya of krishna Paksh in the month of Kartik. Some days before Deepawali people clean, whitewash and decorate their houses. On this day they wear new clothes and ornaments. In the Shubh Muhurat Lakshmi Puja is done. Earthen lamps and candles are  lit and crackers are burst. Other important things and events related to this day of Diwali are :-
(1) People believe that on the night of Diwali Lakshmi, the godddess of wealth and prosperity visits every house. So to welcome her they light earthen lamps.
(2) On this day Ram returned to Ayodhya from fourteen years of exile after defeating the demon king Ravan of Lanka. To welcome him to Ayodhya, the people lighted the rows of earthen lamps.
(3) Goddess Lakshmi emerged from Kshir Sagar.
(4) Mahrishi Dayanand , the founder of Arya Samaj , left this world for his heavenly abode.
(5) Lord Mahavir, the founder of Jainism, attained Nirvan on this day.
