Meaning - Why should one accumulate wealth if the son is bad or unworthy ? Why should one accumulate wealth if the son is good or dutiful or worthy ?
Explanation - This doha ( couplet ) gives practical advice to every one. If a person has a bad son, he (the bad son) will destroy the money (accumulated by his father) on bad things. And if a person has a good son, he (the good son) will work hard and earn a lot of money and prestige through his own hard work. So one should not worry about accumulating money in any case.
