Vallabh Bhai Patel is a great hero of India. His contribution to the nation is unforgettable. He is popularly called Loh Purush (an iron man). He is a historic figure.
Important things about Vallabh Bhai Patel -
> His father - Zaverbhai
> His mother - Laadbai
> His date of birth - 31 October, 1875.
> His wife - Zaverbai (Jhaverba)
> He had two children - A son Dayabhai and a daughter Maniben.
> He passed his Matriculation examination in 1897.
> He went to England to study Law. He qualified as Barrister in 1913.
> Vallabh Bhai started a movement in Bardoli in 1928. It was a non-cooperation movement. The agitation under the leadership of Vallabhbhai Patel was a grand success and had great impact on all future non-cooperation movements throughout the country. It brought great name and fame to Vallabh Bhai. His dynamic leadership earned him the title of Sardar or true leader from Gandhi ji.
> Vallabh Bhai died on 15 December, 1950.

Bhamashah Yojana - A Public Welfare Benefits Delivery Scheme of Rajasthan Govt.

With the objectives of financial inclusion and to empower the women of the state of Rajasthan, Bhamashah Scheme was relaunched in the year 2014.
The Scheme is a family based programme of financial inclusion, where each family is issued a Bhamashah card. The card is linked to a bank account that is in the name of the lady of the house who is the head of the family.

Why to do Sarswati Puja /Saraswati Pooja Vidhi /Saraswati Puja Process - 

Devi Saraswati is the goddess of  knowledge, arts, music and learning etc. To get her blessings one should do Puja of Devi Saraswati on Vasant Panchami, Deepawali or any other auspicious day observing the following process -
Saraswati Pooja process -
Sit at a peaceful place on an Aasan  made of wool or Kusha grass. Put the picture of goddess Saraswati in front of you  and meditate on Devi Saraswati . Then do the worship by adopting the following steps -
(1) Padhya - O goddess Saraswati , I offer water for washing your feet, please accept it.
(2) Aachaman- O goddess Saraswati , I offer you water for sipping, please accept it.
(3) Snan -  O goddess Saraswati, I offer you water for your bath, please accept it.
(4) Vastra  - O goddess Saraswati, I offer you clothes to wear, please accept it.
(5) Gandha - O goddess Saraswati, I offer you scented substance, please accept it.
(6) Pushpa - O goddess Saraswati, I offer you flowers, please accept it.
(7) Dhoop - O goddess Saraswati, I offer you incense please accept it.
(8) Deep - O goddess Saraswati, I offer you light, please accept it.

What is a Prahar / Ashth Prahar

According to the Hindu calendar the duration of the day and night is divided into 8 equal units. These units are known as Prahars. One Prahar is of approximately three hours.
Praharis is considered very important for Shiv Puja on Shiv Ratri. / Maha Shiv Ratri
The calcutation of Prahar -
If the sun rises at 06 a.m. and sets at 06 p.m. and again rises at 06 a.m. next day. These 24 hours are divided into eight Prahars as follows -
Day's first Prahar - 06:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m.
Day's second Prahar - 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Day's third Prahar - 12:00 noon to 03:00 p.m.
Day's fourth Prahar - 03:00 p.m. to 06:00 p.m.
Night's first Prahar - 06:00 p.m. to 09:00 p.m.
Night's second Prahar - 09:00 p.m. to 12:00 mid night.
Night's third Prahar - 12.00 mid night to 03:00 a.m.
Night's fourth Prahar - 03:00 a.m. to 06:00 a.m.

Nishith Kaal - An auspicious time for worship
What is Nishith Kaal
Nishith Kaal is a period of two Ghatis that is one Ghati before the midnight and one Ghati after the midnight. One Ghati is equal to 24 minutes. Thus the duration of Nishith Kaal is about 48 minutes.
The importance of Nishith Kaal -
Nishith Kaal is considered a very auspicious period. Nishith kaal is taken to worship Lord Shiva on Shivratri and to worship goddess Lakshmi on Deepawali.

(5.3.30) Pradosh Kaal /What is Pradosh Kal

What is Pradosh Kaal / How is Pradosh Kaal calcuted

(1) If the Ratri Maan (total period of night from sunset to next sunrise ) is divided into five equal parts, the first part is called Pradosh Kaal.
(2) Pradosh Kaal is a period of six Ghatis from the sunset time of that day. (One Ghati is equal to 24 minutes). Thus the period of two hours and twenty four minutes (approximately) is known as Pradosh Kaal.
As Pradosh Kaal begins from sunset and sunset time changes from one place to another so the Pradosh Kaal varies from one place to another.

What is the Puja Samagri / What is the importance of Pooja items / Significance of Puja Samgri

Pooja or Puja is a process in Hinduism through which the devotee or the worshiper shows his respect and honor to the deity in order to please him/her. For Puja the Hindus use different Pooja Samgri ( Pooja items or Puja material). Here under is the list of some common Puja items and their spiritual and religious importance -
Kalash (a Pot) - Kalash is the symbol of universe and positive energy. The water filled in it is the symbol of seas, rivers and holy ponds. A Kalash produces positive energy in and around the place of Puja.
Earthen Lamp - An earthen lamp is the symbol of sun, moon, and knowledge. It shows the right path and leads the devotee from darkness (ignorance) to the light (true knowledge).
Milk - Milk is the symbol of peace. By using  it as Puja Samagri, the person is blessed with good health  and lives a happy and peaceful life.
Honey - Honey is the symbol of sweetness. The person leads a happy life life and has sweet relations with his kith and kin.
Roli - Roli is a sacred mixture of lime (Choona) and turmeric (Haldi) powder. It is a symbol of good fortune.
Moli - Moli is tied on the wrist of a person. It is the symbol of spiritual activities.
Dhoop Batti (Incense stick) - It is a symbol of purity, freshness, love and compassion. It makes the environment pure.
Water -Water is the symbol of life.
Rice - Rice is the symbol of peace,longevity and purity of life. It removes all the financial problem.
Flowers - Flowers are the symbol of joy, purity, sweetness and fragrance. They bring joy and purity in the life of the worshiper.
Coconut - Coconut is the symbol of  comfort and harmony.
Gud  - Gud is considered as very pious material for Puja. It is the symbol of sweetness. It brings good health and wealth and removes bitterness.
Supari (betel nut) - It is the symbol of strength,longevity,good health and prosperity.
Betel Leaves - They are the symbols of freshness and prosperity.
Mango leaves - They are the symbol of greenery, sweetness and immortality. They fill the life with joy and purity.
Ghee - It the symbol of good health. By using it as Pooja Samgri the worshiper achieves salvation.
