7-2-4 TEACHINGS OF GEETA /GITA / GEETA

Gita / Geeta / Bhagwad Gita / Shree Madbhagvatgita

The Bhagwad Geeta is popularly known as Geeta/Gita. Is is a holy book of the Hindus. It is the part of the ancient Sanskrit Epic the Mahabharat. Geeta contains the words which directly came from the lips of Lord Krishna. The content of the Geeta is a conversation between Krishna and Arjun which took place in the battle field of Kurukshetra just before the starting of the war between the Kouravas and the Pandavas. It has 700 Verses in which Lord Krishna answers all the doubts of Arjun. He explains to him the true path of action , knowledge and devotion.Here under are given some of the teachings of Gita -

1. Doubt creates negative feelings. The person who has doubt cannot be happy.
==========
2. Soul is immortal. The Soul neither kills nor is killed.
Just as a man gives up old garments and wears new ones , in the same way the embodied soul gives up old and worn out body and accepts the new body.
If a person thinks that soul takes birth and then dies , even then he must not grieve. For the one who has taken birth , death is certain and for one who is dead , birth is certain. Therefore we must not grieve for inevitable situations.
========
3. Work makes the world going on , without doing work we can't do. It is our duty to do our prescribed  work but at the same time we must not expect for its result because the result of any action is not under our control. At the same time there should not be any attachment in not doing our prescribed work or activities.
=========
4. A person whose mind remains undisturbed amid sorrows , who doesn't desire for happiness , who is free from attachment , fear and anger and he who is unattached to everything and meeting with good and evil , neither rejoices nor curses , his mind is stable and he is established in perfect knowledge.
==========
5. The person who sees inaction  in action , and action in inaction (one who is unattached to action or inaction) is wise and spiritually intelligent among mankind.
=======
6. The person who is satisfied with whatever comes by its own accord , who is free from jealousy and tolerant of dualities and who is balanced in success and failure , is not bound by his actions , such type of person is a perfect performer of all actions.
========
7. The person who neither disdains ( hates) nor desires the fruits of actions is always considered as a renouncer. Certainly that person being free from all dualities is easily liberated from the bondage of this world.
========
8. The person who neither rejoices nor hates , nor grieves , nor desires and who is indifferent to both what is auspicious and what is inauspicious. And his devotional services is very dear to God.
========
9. A person who is alike to a friend and enemy , who is equal to honour and dishonour , who remains balanced in heat and cold , happiness and pain and is free from attachment , the person who takes praise and reproach alike , who is contemplative before speaking , satisfied with whatever comes on its own accord , not attached to domestic place and life , fixed in determination and  engaged in devotional service that person is very dear to God.
========
10. The enlightened person is he who is equal in all situations. If adversity comes to him , he is not alarmed or distressed and if prosperity comes to him , he is not elated. He receives the pleasant and unpleasant  in the same spirit. He is free from the spirit of doership of any action. He remains balanced in all situations. Such a person has no desire of his own so nothing can disturb him.
==========
11. Wherever there is Lord Krishna ( the symbol of pure wisdom ) together with Arjun ( the symbol of pure actions ) then there is certainly prosperity , goodness , victory , power and virtue.
===========
12. Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practices and a predominant rise of irreligion , at that time God incarnates to reestablish the religion on earth.

7-2-5 TEACHINGs OF ASHTAVAKRA GITA/GEETA

 ASHTAVAKRA GITA/GEETA

Astavakra Geeta has the description of the dialogue between Astavakra and the king Janak on the nature of  soul, reality and bondage. The Astavakra Geeta insists on complete unreality of external world and absolute oneness of existence. It is an ancient spiritual document of great purity and power. It presents the traditional teaching of advaita vedant. The Astavakra Geeta begins with the questions asked by King Janaka- 1. How can knowledge be acquired ? 2. How can liberation be attained ? 3. How is renunciation (non attachment) possible ?
Astavakra gives the answers to these question in the Astavakra Geeta .Here under are given the English translation of some of the Selected verses ( shlokas) -

Chapter 1- Verse number-6
Astavakra says to Janaka, "O, Vibho , virtue and vice, pleasure and pain are connected with the mind and they are not for you. You are neither the doer nor the reaper of the actions. So you are always free.
Explanation-
Astavakra says that virtue and vice ( right and wrong), pleasure and pain are all purely related to mind. They are not for the   one who is learned and has the knowledge of self. A learned person does not think that he is the doer or has done something nor does he think that he is the reaper or the receiver of the consequences. On the contrary due to arrogance ignorant person takes himself for the doer and the reaper of the action. Only because of this thinking and ego the person feels  ( experiences) pleasure and pain.
If he gives up the feeling of being doer and reaper (receiver) he can be free from the feeling of virtue and vice, pleasure and pain. As a result of it he will always be free and enjoy the things as they are without being happy and unhappy.
=======
Chapter- 1. Verse-8
" I am the doer" , thinking so, is like bitten by the great black snake of egoism. " " I am not the doer, " drink the nectar of such type of belief and become happy.
Explanation-
Astavakra says that arrogance is like a great black snake. Due to this arrogance a person treats himself different from the Supreme soul. This difference is the root cause of his feeling of virtue and vice, pleasure and pain. To be  happy a person must have the thinking that he is not different from Supreme soul. But he is the part of the whole.
This universe is going on according to the specific rules of nature. Nothing is under the control of a man, neither the birth nor the death. Only due to the ignorance he considers himself to be the doer. He must have the thinking that he is not doer. This belief is like nectar, drink this nectar and be happy.
=========
Chapter 1- Verse 9.
" I am the one pure understanding ( knowledge)" , burn down the dense forest of ignorance with the fire of this pure knowledge. Be free from distress    (disappointment) and be happy.
Explanation- Astavakra says that darkness is the absence of light. In the same way ignorance is the absence of knowledge. As soon as knowledge prevails, the ignorance vanishes. A man can be happy  and free from disappointment only when he attains knowledge. A man has expectations due to ignorance and when his expectations are not fulfilled , he gets distressed. The man himself is responsible for it. He must burn down the forest of his ignorance with the fire of knowledge. By doing so he can be free from disappointment and be happy.
=========
Chapter 9- Verse - 4
Which is the time and age when dualism does not exist for man. The man who ignores this dual and is contented with the things whatever he gets, attains perfection.
Explanation-
In Present, past or future, the situation of dualism always exists. The two situations of joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain, Life and death, profit and loss, peace and war always exist. They can never be removed nor can they be continued ( kept continuously ). A person tries either to keep these conditions continued or to remove them. In this effort he has to under go the situation of sorrows, loss and unrest  (unquietness). So according to Ashtravakra the person who treats (considers) and accept both the situations as divine, is learned in the real sense. So by ignoring this dual and being satisfied with what he has, a person can be happy and attains full perfection.
========
Chapter -10 Verse-3
Wherever there is the desire, there is the world. Establish yourself firm dispassion, (apply this mature dispassion), be free from desires and be happy.
Explanation-
Man is desire (craving) stricken. He pines for what is not. He wants to get (acquire) more and more. He always makes efforts to get his desires fulfilled. But his desire of getting more and more , never satisfies. So he feels distressed. A man cannot be satisfied with material possessions. Even after getting much more, he feels ( finds) scarcity of something or the other. So it is proper for a man to apply mature dispassion, be free of material desires and be happy.
========
Chapter-11 Verse- 2
God is the creator of all and no one else. Who knows it with definiteness is free from all desires. That person becomes still and free from all desires.
Explanation-
God has created all the things of this world. Nothing is separate from God. Everything is the part of Almighty. They are only the extension of God. The person who knows it , can become still. He is free from all types of expectations and desires. So he is unattached. Such type of person knows it certainly that God is the creator of all the things and what he has got and what he has lost they all belong to God, ( only that person ) attains happiness.
=========
Chapter-11 Verse-3
The person who knows for certain that adversity and success come in their own turn from fate, becomes contented and his senses are under his control. He neither desires ( longs) nor grieves.
Explanation-
No event occurs in accordance with the liking or not liking of a person nor does the event remains unoccured. Every event occurs at the fixed time according to the rules of the nature. Ashtavakra says that fortune and misfortune, adversity or success come in their own turn in obedience to destiny. Nothing can happen against God's will. The person who knows it with definiteness is free from the feeling of arrogance and does not regard himself the doer of any thing, is learned and is contented under all circumstances. He does not long for what he has or for what he has not got , nor does he grieve for what he has lost. There is no tension and unrest in his life.
=========
Chapter-12 Verse-6
Just as performance of an action is due to ignorance , so is the case with the abandonment of the action.
Knowing this fact well I am free from doing and not doing.
Explanation-
Action begins with life and continues till death. So action is the inseparable part of life. But the action is done with the feeling of doership and arrogance is ignorance. In the same way if there arises the feeling of doership ( doerness) and arrogance while abandoning the action, it is also ignorance.
So a learned person must be free from the feeling of doership and arrogance while doing as well as not doing the action.
=========
Chapter-16 Verse-9
A passionate person wants to leave (renounce) this world so as to avoid pain. But the dispassionate person is free from pain and feels no distress even in this world.
Explanation-
A passionate person wants to renounce this world to avoid pain. According to him this world is full of sorrows (griefs). So this world must be renounced so as to avoid the troubles of this world. But according to Astavakra all the things of this world are not the cause of sorrow. The real cause of sorrow is desire and passion. If a person renounces the life of a householder and begins to leave in a forest as an ascetic even then he cannot get peace. Giving up the worldly desires and having the desire for salvation is also the cause of sorrow. But only the dispassionate person who is attached to nothing, is free from pain and feels no distress in this world even enjoying the worldly things or material possessions. Pleasure and pain are connected with the mental state of person and they are not connected with possessions.
=========
Chapter-18 Verse-96
A learned person is neither happy nor unhappy, he is neither attached nor detached. He is neither liberated nor does he want liberation. He is neither some body nor nothing.
Explanation-
A person who has knowledge is always balanced in his thinking, in his behaviour etc. He is free from duality. He is contented under all the situations. He takes pleasure and pain equally. He is neither happy nor unhappy. He is neither liberated nor does he want liberation. He is neither attached nor detached. He does not consider himself great nor does he consider himself nothing or neglected. He is satisfied with what he has and is not dissatisfied with what he does not have. Only such type of person is learned and has knowledge in the right sense.
=========
Chapter-18 Verse-99
A liberated person is pleased when he is praised , and is not annoyed when he is blamed or reproached. He is not afraid of death nor does he rejoice in life.
Explanation-
A learned person is not arrogant. So he takes all the events normally which happen in his life. They cannot have good ( favourable) or bad (adverse) effect on him. A liberated person is not pleased when he is praised or commended. He is also not annoyed when he is blamed or reproached. He is neither rejoices in life nor fears death. He is always the same whether it  is the question of pleasure or pain , life or death , praise or reproach. For a learned person soul is important , not the body.

6-2-2 Tribal Shuddhi for the marriage Muhurat

TRIBAL (त्रिबल शुद्धि) SHUDDHI FOR THE MARRIAGE MUHURTA

At the time of marriage Chandrabal, Suryabal and Gurubal is considered (i.e. the position of moon, sun and Jupiter  should be auspicious.)
For the Var or the bride groom, Chandrabal (Chandra shuddhi) and Surya bal (Surya shuddhi)  is considered .
For the Vadhu or the bride, Chandrabal (Chandra Shuddhi) and Gurubal (Guru shuddhi) is considered.
Why is Chandra bal is considered-
Moon or Chandrama  is the indicator  of mind.  For the success of every activity in life, the concentration of mind is essential . So Chandra   shuddhi or Chandra bal is considered  for the boy as well as the girl  so that after their marriage when they start their Grihastha life,their  minds may remain stable and without getting confused, and they may take right decision in the journey  of their married life.
Surya bal - (Why is Surya bal considered)- Sun is  the indicator of soul and the symbol of self confidence. In the life of a Grihasthi (a house holder's life) the man has to take bold steps and initiations. So Surya bal or surya shuddhi is considered for the boy.
Guru bal (why is Guru bal considered)- Jupiter (Guru) is the indicator of discretion, intelligence and understanding. After the marriage the role of the woman is very important. (C) If the sun is (at the time of marriage) in the fourth or eighth or twelfth sign from the name sign or birth sign of the Var or bride groom , it is inauspicious and it should be avoided.
Parihar (Exception) - When the sun is in its exalted sign i.e. in Aries or in its own sign i.e. in Leo or in its friends signs i.e. in Cancer or Aries or Scorpio or Sagittarius or Pisces or in its own Navmaansh, it can be considered for the muhurat for marriage, as it is considered 'Shuddha' even if it is in the fourth or eighth or twelfth sign from the name sign or birth sign of the bride groom.
Guru bal (What is Guru Bal) - (A) - If at the time of marriage Guru (Jupiter) in the second or fifth or seventh or ninth or eleventh  sign from the name sign or birth sign of the Vadhu (bride), it is favourable or auspicious.

6-2-1 Adhik Maas /Purushottam Maas

ADHIK MAAS/ADDITIONAL OR EXTRA MONTH/ PURSHOTTAM MAAS

What is Adhik Maas
Adhik maas is an extra month or additional month in the Hindu calendar. Adhik Maas is also known as Mal Maas or Purushottam maas. When there occurs Adhik Maas in a year, that year has thirteen months instead of twelve months.
When does Adhik Maas occur -
Whenever Sankranti does not fall within one month, in that situation, Adhik maas occurs.
When there are two Amavasyas in one and the same month, in that situation, Adhik maas occurs.
According to the Bhavishya Puran, the difference between the lunar month and solar month is called Adhik maas.
Important things about Adhik Maas -
The Hindus follow two types of calendars - The solar calendar and lunar calendar. The solar year is made up of approximately 365 days whereas the lunar year is made up of approximately 354 days. Thus there is a gap of about 11 days between these two types years. This gap increases each year and in about three years it equals to one month approximately. To cover this gap, one additional month is added to the lunar year in approximately two and a half years. Thus Adhik maas or extra month balances the lunar and the solar calendar.
Pure month ( Shuddha maas ) and impure month ( Ashuddha Maas or Mal maas ) -
Adhik maas has one name i. e. Aashadh or Shravan or Bhadrapad etc. but it has about 60 days or two months. These two months are known as the first month and the second month.
Illustration showing Suddha maas and Ashuddha maas -
In the Vikram Samwat 2069, the month of Bhadrapad was the additional month or Adhik maas. So Bhadrapad was known as first Bhadrapad and the second Bhadrapad.
In these two months there are four Pakshas i. e. Krishan Paksha - Shukla Paksha - Krishna Paksha - and Shukla Paksha respectively.
The Krishna Paksha of the first Bhadhrapad and the Shukla Paksha of the second Paksha are known as the pure or Shuddha Bhadrapad.
And thr Shukla Paksha of the first Bhadrapad and the Krishna Paksha of the second Bhadrapad is known as the Adhik maas or Mal maas or Purushottam maas. Thus -
(1) From the first Bhadrapad Krishna Paksha ( From Pratipada to Amavasya ) i.e. from 3. 8.2012 to 17.8.2012 was the Suddha maas or pure maas. And from second Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha ( from Pratipada to Purnima ) i.e. from 17.9.2012 to 30.9.2012 is pure maas or Suddha maas. ( Namely, out of the four Paksha, the first Paksha and  the fourth Paksha form the Shddha Maas )
(2) From first Bhadrapad Sukla Paksha to second Bhadarapad Krishna Paksha i.e. from 18.8.2012 to 16.9.2012 was known as Adhik Maas or Mal Maas or impure Maas or Purushottam Maas. ( Namely, out of the four Paksha , the second and the third Paksha dorm the Adhik Maas or Mal Maas.)
Thus in the light of the above illustration, it can be concluded that whatever the Vrat or festivals are celebrated, will be celebrated in the pure month or Suddha maas. In the above illustration the Shuddha maas is from 3.8.2012 to 17.8.2012 and from 1.9.2012 to 16.9.2012.

(6.1) WHAT IS ASTROLOGY

 What is Vedic Astrology--
Indian astrology is known as Vedic astrology. It is the integral part of Vedic culture. Besides four Vedas there are six vedangs also which literally mean the limbs or organs of Vedas. They are six in number. Their names are 1. Shiksha 2.Kalpa  3.Vyakarna 4.Nirukta 5.Chandas 6. Jyotish (astronomy and astsrology).
These six limbs were taught and studied as the integral part of the ancient  vedic education system. These Subjects helped the learners in their all round development of these six subjects. Jyotish deals with the study of heavenly bodies and study of the destiny of a person.
It can be said that the calculations of the Vedic astrologers are reliable. Even in those days when people had  no modern instruments, the sages of ancient India calculated the accurate motion and position of the planets. They were able to tell the exact time and date of solar and Lunar eclipses.  Thus Indian astrology is scientific in nature and uses mathematical calculations to arrive at the accurate predictions.

(4.2.1) PUSHKAR

HOLY Pushkar :-
 Pushkar is one of the main pilgrimage spots in India. It is a semi circular lake around which there are fifty two Ghats. The lake is a holy place and is known as the Tirthraaj( the king of the Teerthaas) . There are four importtant holy places of the Hindus in India i.e. Badrinaath, Jagannathpuri, Rameshwaram and Dwarkapuri but the bath at Pushkar is thought to be more important than at any other place. The holy dip in this lake on Kartik Poornima is thought to be salvation giving.

How "Pushkar" got its name:-

All the important and sacred places have been named after some important persons or events. Pushkar was also named like that.
Once Brahma was worried over the matter of not having a place in his name on the earth as the other gods have. So He also had a desire to have a place in His name in the immortal world (on the earth). Having such desire in his mind and saying -"Mangal Ho!.....". He threw a lotus flower upon the earth. The flower fell at three places. Then Brahma said that these three places would be known as Pushkar. The place where the flower fell first is called Jyeshth Pushkar (senior Pushkar), the second place is called Madhya Pushkar(middle Pushkar) and the third place in called Kanishth Pushkar(junior Pushkar). Then he further added that these three Kunds (lakes) would be famous for removing the sins of the sinners.As Brahmaji threw the Pushp(flower) with his Kar(hand) so he gave the name of Pushkar to this place.

Religious Importance of Pushkar:-

Pushkar is one of the holiest places of the Hindus. Though bathing at all the Theerths (holy places) removes the sins of a sinner yet the Darshan only of Pushkar makes a sinner free from all the deadliest sins. To die at this place is salvation giving. The person suffering from thirst forgets to drink water as soon as he enters the lake of Pushkar.  The great sages of India realized the goal of life i.e. salvation here by meditating on God.
It is known as the dwelling place of all the gods. The man who bathes in the Shukla Paksh of Kartik month and has the Darshan of Brahma, will not take rebirth on this earth and enjoy the bliss of heaven. The people who have a holy dip at the lake on Kartik Poornima, gain the fruit equal to do the Jap and Tap for one hundred years.
Temples at Pushkar:- Pushkar is famous for its temples. There are more than four hundred temples in and around Pushkar. Some of them are very old and some are new. They  were built by kings, Rishis, wealthy persons at different times. The temples are of different gods and goddesses. Everyday hundreds of pilgrims come here and have Darshan of gods. Some temples are among the hills. Some important temples as follows:-

 1. The temple of Brahma

There is a statue of Gayatri near Brahma's statue. The present statue of Brahmaji is not original one. Emperor Auranjeb  during is rule destroyed the statue of Lord Brahma. A Brahmin woman named Phoondi bai the daughter of Girdhar Das and the mother of Shambhuram ji setup the statue of Lord Brahma. 7-3-7Eight Steps Towards Sprituality

This age of ours is the age of science and technology. A notable progress has been made in every field. People have all kinds of means to fulfill their desires and necessities. It has made the thinking of people materialistic. As a result of materialism, they (people) have become over ambitious. This over ambitiousness makes them restless and dissatisfied. In some cases it causes stress.
So one must follow the spiritual way to face  these problems and get refined solutions to them. For it the following steps are to be taken-
1. Come, let us feel the divine power within ourselves.
2. Come, let us move towards light, the light of true knowledge.
3. Come, let us help ourselves.
4. Come, let us go ahead from where we are standing.
5. Come let us have belief on ourselves.
6. Come, let us share our pleasures and pains with others.
7. Come, let us turn the obstacles into the stepping stones to success.
8. Come, let us live a real life of hope and happiness.

7-3-6 Pine for what is not ( Aprapt Ki Chahat)

Pine for what is not/ Aprapt ki Chahat

A person is not happy or satisfied what things he has. He wishes to have much more things what he does not have. It is the common nature of almost all the persons. On account of this nature human race has made a great progress. But if the desire of getting more and more, becomes uncontrolled or limitless, it has adverse effect and causes unhappiness. This world is full of infinite number of beautiful things. One cannot get each and every thing. Due to the human nature a person thinks that happiness consists in the fulfillment of desires. But the desires are endless so happiness always remains an unrealized goal. It does not mean that one should not make an effort to get new things what one does not have, but it means that one must be satisfied with what one already has, and must not madly run after the things which one does not have.
We must admit the fact that life is a blend of pleasures and sorrows, tears and smiles. They are the inseparable parts of our life. We must not ignore this fact.
The real happiness is in the acquisition of some moral values. It lies in contentment. In other words we must be satisfied with what we have and we must not pine for what we do not have. Happiness lies in facing the reality of life, doing our duties honestly and leaving the results to God.
One thing more "our position (in all the fields) should be better than others,"this feeling or desire makes the situation worse because it causes distress and discomfort. Due to this desire we try to get more and more. In trying to get more, sometimes we have to use unfair means which lead to us in the wrong direction.
Besides it, how soever much we have, we will still find dearth of some thing or the other. So the best way to be happy is to do the best use of the things we already have, and be satisfied with them and we must not pine for what we do not have.

7-3-5 Devotion To Profession(Vyasay Ke Prati Nishtha

 Devotion to Profession

Work makes the world giving on. The progress of the family, society, nation and the world depends on the work done by the persons. The work done by the every individual has its own importance. Work is neither small nor big. It is the attitude of the persons which may be small or big but not the work. The mayor of a city is the first citizen of that city whose duty is do the work and to make the plans for the development and for the betterment of the city. But if the sweepers of that city do not work  even for two or three days, what will be the condition of the city ? This situation proves that the work of a sweeper is not less important than that of the mayor. The same thing applies to every work or profession.
So the person should have high feeling towards his or her profession. He should do his duty as if it were the divine order. Having a noble feeling towards one's profession produces wonderful results. Through the same feeling the person makes progress in his life, and gets himself ready to shoulder important responsibilities, and as a result of it other persons begin to have a feeling of respect towards that person.
There might be some pieces of work that may seem boring but if we do them with the feeling of enthusiasm and delight they become interesting. In Rajasthan and particularly in the rural area of Rajasthan when the women do hard work, they sing to remove to tediousness or weariness. Such type of singing turns the hard and boring work into a kind of picnic.
When the person does his work with happiness, devotion and honesty, the possibility of success in that work becomes stronger. If the work is done with a high spirit, it adds glory to the work and the worker finds satisfaction with that work. So we must have respect for our profession and do our job with zeal and high spirit.

7-3-3 How to Concentrate (Chitta Ki Ekagrata ke Upay)

What is concentration-
Concentration is an act of giving all attention to something that is read or done or listened to.
Concentration is giving all your attention to what you are doing or to what someone is saying.
The importance of Concentration ( Why is concentration necessary ) -
For the success in every action, concentration of mind is the first and the foremost necessity. But in everyday life we experience that our mind can not remain stable for a long time. As a result of it, we can not pay proper or desired attention to the particular thing or an action. As we know, we can see our clear image in the water only when it is still and stable. In the same way if our mind is unstable, we can not concentrate on the particular thing or the activity which we want to accomplish.
Measures for concentration of mind or how to concentrate or tips for concentration -
The following are the measures which can help one to concentrate one's mind -

1. In a separate room or at a peaceful place, lie quietly keeping your face upward, relax your body completely, close your eyes and try to fix your mind on a particular part of your body one by one i.e. on nose, on mouth, on forehead, on chest, on right eye, on left eye etc. ( one by one ) for at least one minute. While doing so you can recite Gayatri Mantra or any other Mantra of your choice. When the Mantra is over, fix your mind  on the next part of your body and repeat the same mantra. Do this practice for five to ten minutes daily.
2. With full attention, look at any holy symbol like ' Om' , ' Swastik ' or any other symbol of your choice keeping proper distance from your eyes for three to five minutes.
3. Do a one thing at a time and start the next thing only the first thing is completed to your satisfaction.
4. Purification of mind is also necessary for concentration power of mind. For it - ( A ) Feel glad when you see someone making progress in his/her life.
(B) Always try to be happy and practice the proverb ' happiness shared is happiness doubled.'
(C) Do not have malice or ill will for others.
(D) Do not have a desire or feeling to insult others.

7-3-2 Bhoutik aur aadhyatmik Unnati

 Material and Spiritual Progress

Today man has made a great progress in every field. A revolutionary change has taken place in the field of medicine, health, agriculture, transportation, telecommunication etc. Due to this progress materialistic comforts have increased a lot.
In spite of being all these materialistic comforts and progress, people in general are living a life of restlessness and uneasiness. As a result of it, they are losing their mental peace.
This situation shows that material progress and prosperity alone cannot be the means of mental peace. Wealth is not everything . It is possible for a man to be unhappy although he has every thing. On the other hand the people who have very little can be happy. The people of the so called advanced countries find life more and more difficult. They are bored. They suffer from nervous breakdown, fear, aimlessness, unhappiness and  dissatisfaction. Money cannot give real happiness. People ,who are prosperous, fail to find happiness in the economic prosperity. Such type of people are in search of things or places which can give them real joy and peace.
But it does not mean that there must not be any materialistic progress. For fulfilling the requirements and necessities of life, material progress is essential. But at the same time spiritual progress is also necessary. Without spiritual control, the material progress may lead the people to the wrong direction and invite a lot of troubles. So the material progress and the spiritual progress must go side by side. Only then the people can be happy in a real sense. The balanced progress in both the fields i. e. in material and in spiritual fields, can establish inner as well as outer progress. Neglecting the spiritual progress certainly causes negativity in some cases.

8-2-5 REMEDY ( GAURI / PARVATI MANTRA )

  REMEDY ( GAURI / PARVATI MANTRA )

      FOR A GOOD HUSBAND

Marriage is a sacred union that binds two individuals. It ties them legally and emotionally. It is the bond for the whole life. So every girl longs for a good husband. The regular and continuous chant of the following Gauri Mantra / Parvati Mantra by the girl helps her get the husband of her choice. Maa Sita also performed Gauri Puja before marriage in order to have a husband like Lord Ram.
The Process of Mantra Jap -
The girl who wants a good husband should get up early in the morning and have a bath. Then she should sit on a rug facing east or north in a separate room or at any suitable place. she should keep the framed picture of Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati in front of her. She should close her eyes and meditate on Devi Parvati feeling that Devi Parvati has a smiling face and she has the power to fulfill the desires of persons who have full faith in her. Then she should pray to Devi Parvati and ask her to fulfill her (the girl's ) desire of having a good husband and the girl should keep in her mind an image of the type of man she wants to marry.
After this feeling the girl should repeat (chant) the following Mantra at least 108 times (one Mala) or 324 times (three Mallas) or 540 times (5 Mallals) every day. The more she does the better it is. For desired results the Mantra should be recited for 125000  (One lakh and twenty five thousand) times.
The Mantra is as follows-
'He Gauri Shankaraardhaangi Yathaa Twam Shankar Priyaa,
Tathaa Maam Kuru Kalyaani Kaant Kaantaam Sudurlabhaam.'

'हे गौरी शंकरार्धांगी  यथा त्वं शंकरप्रिया
तथा मां  कुरु कल्याणि कान्त कान्तां सुदुर्लभाम।।'
When the Mantra Jap is over, do not leave the place immediately . keep your eyes closed and feel in your mind that Devi Parvati has  heard your prayer and your desires of getting a good husband will certajnly be fulfilled by the grace of Gauri /Parvati . Then leave place of Puja and do your routine work .
