While Kundali matching Bhakoot is one of the important factors.
Points assigned - Seven points are assigned to Bhakoot.
The base of Bhakoot - The Janma Rashis or the birth signs or the moon signs of both the boy and the girl are the basis for calculating Bhakoot.
What is Bhakoot - There are twelve Rashis or signs. The birth sign of the var and the vadhu may be the same or it may be different also. If we count from the moon sign of the var to the moon sign of the Vadhu and again from the moon sign of the Vadhu to the moon sign of the Var, number comes, is known as Bhakoot or Rashi koot.
How Bhakoot is calculated -
For Bhakoot calculation the moon signs of the var and the vadhu are considered. If we count from the moon sign of the var to the moon sign of the vadhu and again from the moon sign of the vadhu to the moon sign of the var, there may be seven types of combinations -
1-1, 2-12, 3-11, 4-10, 5-9, 6-8, and 7-7.
Out of these combinations - any of the following combinations is considered auspicious and has no Bhakoot dosh and under this position 7 points are awarded.
1-1, 3-11, 4-10, and 7-7.
Example - If the moon sign of the var and the vadhu is mesh. It makes the 1-1 combination. It is good , and has no Bhakoot Dosh.
If the moon sign of the var is singh and the moon sign of vadhu is Vrishchik, it makes the 4-10 combination. It is good and seven points are assigned.
If there is the following combination of the moon signs of the var and the vadhu it causes Bhakoot Dosh - 2-12, 5-9 and 6-8
Example of forming Bhaokoot Dosh -
If the moon sign of the var is Meen and the moon sign of vadhu is Kumbh. This sutuation of the moon signs makes 2-12 ( semi sextile ) combination and causes Bhakoot Dosh as the moon sign Meen is second from the moon sign Kumbh and Kumbh is twelfth from the moon sign Meen.
The result or effect of Bhakoot Dosh -
As shown above, the Bhakoot Dosh is formed in the three positions of the moon sign of the var and the vadhu.
Semi sextile ( 2-12 ), Trinal ( 5-9 ) and Quincunx ( 6-8 )
1. If there is 2-12 combination of the moon signs, it may cause financial problems.
2. If there is 5-9 combination of the moon signs, it may cause the problem of progeny.
3. It there is 6-8 combination of the moon signs, it may cause health problem to the husband and the wife. It also causes disputes between the two individuals.
Parihar or exception to Bhakoot Dosh -
1( A). If  the moon sign lord of both the var and the vadhu is the one and the same or there is mutual friendship between them.
( B). If the Lord of the Navansh of both, is one and the same or there is mutual friendship between them.
2. Besides above, there should be Tara Shuddhi or Vasya Suddhi.

The Principles and Teachings of Lord Mahaveer - The need of the hour

At present the whole world is facing a lot of problems. Some of them are terrorism, violence, crimes of every kind, environmental problems, racism and the danger of war. Besides these common problems, every individual is undergoing one problem or the other. Almost every person has the problem of tension, finance, uneasiness etc. There is disharmony everywhere. In short everyone is living a life full of worries, tension and discontent.
Under such a situation, it is only Lord Mahaveer's philosophy that can help us. His is the philosophy of peace and goodwill, a philosophy of mutual understanding and tolerance, a philosophy of brotherhood. Although his teachings have always been useful and significant yet they are felt so much significant in our own time. It is the time when we must follow the teachings of Lord Mahavir.
Lord Mahaveer spread the message peace and non-violence (which is the most most significant for the present age.) To live the righteous life one must follow the principles and teachings of Lord Mahaveer. He taught that Samyak Darshan (right faith), Samyak Gyan ( right knowledge), and Samyak Caritra (right conduct) are the things that lead one to the right path to attain liberation. For the right conduct the people observe the following five vows -
Ahinsa - (nonviolence) - not to cause harm to any other living being.
Satya - (Truthfulness) - to speak the truth.
Asteya - (Non stealing) - not to commit theft.
Brahmcharya - (Celibacy) - not to indulge in sensual pleasures.
Aparigraha - (Non possession) - to set a limit to the greed for worldly possessions
In short it can be said that if the principles and the teachings of Lord Mahavir are understood in their right perspective and followed, can be the solution to the present problems and can bring contentment and inner happiness in one's life.
