Adhik Maas or Purushottam Maas - What not to do during Adhik Maas
Adhik Maas -Adhik Maas has a special importance in Hinduism. Lord Vishnu Himself has given it the name of Purushottam Maas. It usually comes every third year. In the scriptures it is clearly mentioned what activities should be done and what activities are not to be done during Adhik Maas.
What should not be done during Adhik Maas -
The following things or activities should not be done during Adhik Maas -
> Starting the construction of a building for house or office or factory.
> Thread ceremony or Janeo Sanskaar.
> Entering the new house or Griha Pravesh.
> Buying a vehicle.
> Opening a new shop or stating a new business.
> Starting any new machinery.
> Mundan (Hair cutting ceremony)
> Engagement (Sagai)
> Marriage
> Taamasik Bhojan
> Digging a well
