What is Yantra in Hinduism -In Hinduism a Yantra is a specific design or a diagram or a shape which is made by using dots or lines. This shape or diagram may be a triangle, a circle, a square, a rectangle etc. The design of the Yantra has a special importance and inner meaning. The design of the Yantra may be drawn or imprinted or written on a metal or on Bhojpatra or on a piece of paper. In the Yantras Specific numbers or letters or Beej mantra or Mantras are imprinted or written. While drawing a Yantra on a Bhojpatra or a piece of paper, a special kind of material or substance is used as ink. As the image of god or goddess in the temple or at home is worshiped by people, a Yantra is also worshiped as the symbol of divine power of the particular god or goddess to whom it (the Yantra) represents. Worshiping the Yantra produces quick results in favour of the worshiper.
