Shraddh Paksh or Pitra Paksh -2017
Shraddh Paksh is a period of sixteen days which begins on the Purnima Tithi of Bhadrapad and ends on the Amavasya Tithi of Aswin Month. According to the Hindu belief the dead ancestors who reside in the Pitra Lok, receive donations , Pind dan and food etc. which the person gives them during shraddh paksh and their souls ( the ancestors' souls ) attain peace by the rituals done by their relatives during this period.In the year 2016 , given below are the Shraddh Paksh dates -

> 11 Sept. -Shashthi Shraddh
> 12 Sept.- Saptami Shraddh
> 13 Sept.- Ashthmi Shraddh
> 14 Sept.- Navami Shraddh
> 15 Sept.- Dashmi Shraddh
> 16 Sept.- Ekadashi Shraddh
> 17 Sept.- Dwadashi Shraddh
> 17 Sept.- Trayodashi Shraddh
> 18 Sept.- Chaturdashi Shraddh
