When is Bhairav Jayanti ?
In the year 2016 Bhairav Jayanti is on Monday, 21 November, 2016.
Important Things about Bhairav Jayanti :-

1. According to Hindu calendar Margshirsha Krishna Ashtami is known as Bhairav Jayanti. The other names for this  Bhairva Jayanti are  Kaal Bhairav Jayanti, Kaal Bhairav Ashtami Kaalaashtami.

2. It is believed that god Bhairava is the Rudraavataar of Lord Shiva.

3. The Vahan (vehicle) of Bhaeava is a dog.
4. God Bhairav fulfills the desires of the persons who worship him with full devotion and make them free from their sins if any.

5. The Puja of God Bhairava and observation of fast on Bhairav Jayanti fill the person with determination and keep him physically and mentally fit.God Bhairava saves the person from untimely death who follows the religious rules and observes social decorum. 

6. The chanting of the following Mantra removes the negativity, troubles, everyday problems and enmity.

 It is helpful in winning the court cases.  

The mantra is :-

 "ॐ  ह्रीं बटुकाय आपदुद्धारणाय कुरु कुरु बटुकाय ह्रीं। "
