On this occasion God Ganesh Poojan will be done as follows -
Amrit chaughadiya - 06:23 to 07:56
( or ) Shubh Chaughadiya - 09:30 to 11:03.
( or ) Abhijit Muhurat - 12:12 to 13:01.(This time is considered better.)
Visarjan Day or Immersion Day of God Ganesh idols :-
Shukla paksh Chaturdashi of Bhadrapad (which is also known as Anant Chaturdashi)
Important things -
1. Lord Ganesh festival begins on Bhadra pad Shukla Chatirthi with Ganesh Poojan in the shubh muhurat. Usually Madhyaankaal is considered the best for Ganesh Puja.

2. It ends after ten days on Anant Chaturdashi. On this day the devotees take out the procession and carry the idol of Lord Ganesh and immerse it in a lake or pond.This ritual is known as Visarjan.
3. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birth day of Ganesh.
4. It is also believed that on this day Lord Shiva declared Ganesh as superior to all other gods.
5. Ganesh is worshipped as the god of wisdom , prosperity and good fortune .
6. It is believed that on the night of Ganesh Chaturthi ,the person must not see the moon as seeing the moon on this night may result in false accusation of stealing some thing .( To remove this blame one must listen to the story of Syamantak.Click here for this story .)
